  • Abaloparatide
    • TYMLOS is a human parathyroid hormone related peptide [PTHrP(1-34)] analog indicated for the: Treatment of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture or patients who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy. ( 1.1 ) Treatment to increase bone density in men with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture or patients who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy.
  • Alendronate
    • BINOSTO is a bisphosphonate indicated for: Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women ( 1.1 ) Treatment to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis ( 1.2 ) Limitation of use: Optimal duration of use has not been determined. For patients at low-risk for fracture, consider drug discontinuation after 3 to 5 years of use ( 1.3 ) 1.1 Treatment of Osteoporosis in Postmenopausal Women BINOSTO effervescent tablet 70 mg is indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
  • Bazedoxifene
    • DUAVEE is indicated in women with a uterus for: DUAVEE is a combination of conjugated estrogens with an estrogen agonist/antagonist indicated for treatment of the following conditions in women with a uterus: • Treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause ( 1.1 ) • Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis ( 1.2 ) Limitation of Use : DUAVEE should be used for the shortest duration consistent with treatment goals and risks for the individual woman ( 1.3 ) 1.1 Treatment of Moderate to Severe Vasomotor Symptoms Associated with Menopause 1.2 Prevention of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis 1.3 Important Limitations of Use • Use DUAVEE for the shortest duration consistent with treatment goals and risks for the individual woman. Postmenopausal women should be re-evaluated periodically as clinically appropriate to determine if treatment is still necessary.
  • Calcitonin
    • Calcitonin salmon injection, synthetic is a calcitonin, indicated for the following conditions: Treatment of symptomatic Paget's disease of bone when alternative treatments are not suitable ( 1.1 ) Treatment of hypercalcemia ( 1.2 ) Treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis when alternative treatments are not suitable. Fracture reduction efficacy has not been demonstrated ( 1.3 ) Limitations of Use: Due to the possible association between malignancy and calcitonin salmon use, the need for continued therapy should be re-evaluated on a periodic basis ( 1.4 , 5.3 ) 1.1 Treatment of Paget’s Disease of Bone Calcitonin salmon injection is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic Paget's disease of bone in patients with moderate to severe disease characterized by polyostotic involvement with elevated serum alkaline phosphatase and urinary hydroxyproline excretion.
  • Denosumab
    • Conexxence is a RANK ligand (RANKL) inhibitor indicated for treatment: of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture ( 1.1 ) to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture ( 1.2 ) of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in men and women at high risk for fracture ( 1.3 ) to increase bone mass in men at high risk for fracture receiving androgen deprivation therapy for nonmetastatic prostate cancer ( 1.4 ) to increase bone mass in women at high risk for fracture receiving adjuvant aromatase inhibitor therapy for breast cancer ( 1.5 ) 1.1 Treatment of Postmenopausal Women with Osteoporosis at High Risk for Fracture Conexxence is indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture, defined as a history of osteoporotic fracture, or multiple risk factors for fracture; or patients who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy. In postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, denosumab reduces the incidence of vertebral, nonvertebral, and hip fractures [see Clinical Studies ( 14.1 )].
  • Ibandronate
    • Ibandronate sodium tablet is a bisphosphonate indicated for the treatment and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. ( 1.1 ).
  • Raloxifene
    • Raloxifene hydrochloride is an estrogen agonist/antagonist indicated for: Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. ( 1.1 ) Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.
  • Risedronate
    • Risedronate sodium delayed-release tablets are bisphosphonate in a delayed-release formulation and is indicated for treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis (1.1) Limitations of Use Optimal duration of use has not been determined. For patients at low-risk for fracture, consider drug discontinuation after 3 to 5 years of use (1.2).
  • Romosozumab
    • EVENITY is a sclerostin inhibitor indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk for fracture, defined as a history of osteoporotic fracture, or multiple risk factors for fracture; or patients who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy. ( 1 ) Limitations of Use: Limit duration of use to 12 monthly doses.
  • Teriparatide
    • Teriparatide injection is indicated: For the treatment of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture (defined herein as having a history of osteoporotic fracture or multiple risk factors for fracture) or who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy. In postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, teriparatide injection reduces the risk of vertebral and nonvertebral fractures.
