/api/v1/reaction/cardiac-failure-congestiveReference statistics only. FAERS reports are voluntarily submitted and are not incidence rates, safety signals, or causal evidence. The drugs below are ranked by how often this reaction appears on FAERS reports for each drug — high share does not mean the drug caused the reaction, and absence from this list does not mean the reaction never occurred. This is not a symptom checker.
DefinitionNLM MeSH D006333
A heterogeneous condition in which the heart is unable to pump out sufficient blood to meet the metabolic need of the body. Heart failure can be caused by structural defects, functional abnormalities (VENTRICULAR DYSFUNCTION), or a sudden overload beyond its capacity. Chronic heart failure is more common than acute heart failure which results from sudden insult to cardiac function, such as MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION.
